Placard design part 1 (week 3)

Writer's picture: TengTeng

Based on my last tutorial feedback, I was asked to proceed with any of the two ideas I have shown. I picked this idea for my final design because I feel it would be easier for the public to understand.

Once I have confirm my idea, I proceed to digitalise my design. Here is my first digital version of my price tag.

I send it to few of my friends for their opinion on the design, since the placard the main purposed of it is to communicate. Their feedback from this is that the first two things they see is EGO/ Ridiculously Expensive, and they tend to miss out reading the materials section.

So, I tried moving the ego to the other side to balance out the weight of the texts. Moreover, I also tried making each tags represent separate luxury brands such as LV, Chanel and many more.

I also started to think about how I want my GIF to move. I wanted the "material" words to move, so that people would pay attention to it too. Besides, I also want my GIF to switch between several brands to represent that no matter what luxury brand you buy this message still apply to those consumer.

Tutorial feedback:

- I think is fine to remain the "EGO" on left hand-side if the materials words are moving (since movement will catch their attention)

- Illustrations might be too illustrated, try using real texture to make it feel more luxurious or premium

- Real logo can't be used, so try to use each brand elements and play around with it.
