In this week class, we are ask to record data of anything we do from Monday to Thursday. I choose to record "how many times I drink ?"

I track down the time, the amount (I cant record it in ml so i just record how many times i swallow lol) and also the liquid that I drink.

After recording my water intake in the past few days, I try to visualize the data I have collected using LATCH. In my data, I used Time and Category to help me communicate the data I have collected.

Every single time I drink something is recorded in the form of water droplets, different water droplet represent different things that I drink. For example, blue is for water while brown is for others.

On the left hand side is the time, the location of the water droplet indicates around what time I drink. Moreover, each rectangle is categorised by it's day and I try to make the size of the rectangle varied from day to day so that it's easier to see which day I consumed more water, but it is not very obvious.

I tried to visualize the amount of water I drink by the size of water droplets but that didn't work out because I feel like is not consistent enough for me to draw it correctly. Besides, I record the amount by how many times I swallow, so I don't think it is that accurate for me to visualize it.

Hey Gui Teng, yeah, i feel that your attempt didn't fully utilised all the interesting data you have, like how much you drank each time and how many times you swallow (which is an interesting and funny way to measure) so I was hoping that your data viz can be more richer! and also you should include legend in your data viz as well, as without reading the blog post, audience would not be able to know what does the different colour means. But nice attempt overall!
