Determining my research questions:
To help me further determined my research direction I came up with a few research questions. The first question is "Why happiness is related to relationship?". From my mind map, the few reasons are because of the media (movie/ shows). Happy ending = Being in a relationship. The second reason is the affection that they will get from a romantic relationship is different from other relationships.

The second question is " What makes single people happy? ". From my research, one of the answers I got is Defying stereotypes. They prove the society wrong on their vision of living a good life. Besides, they are happy because they would always have time for themselves. It helps them to understand themselves better.

The third question is " Why being single is seen as a taboo? ". Based on my research, the stigma surrounding single people is always very negative. Such as, single people have too high expectation or they are undesirable. The second reason is the culture. Being single is always seen as a stigma, there are also tradition that single people have to go through. For example, in Malaysia on the last day of CNY single people are to throw oranges to the river to find a partner.

I also try to figure out "what makes people want to be in a relationship?" Few of the answers are loneliness, attraction to the person and also affection.
I am still in the progress of completing my concept map so here is just some of the research I have done. I have not found my deeper context yet, however I think from my current research it is more towards the culture of single people and a comparison between single vs relationship.
Good comprehensive researched done into the topics, looking forward to see where you bring this project!
