Week 3 (DES1203) + UK TRIP

This week, we went to Block Z for our class. First, we went to level 4 common area for our tie dye workshop. This is my first time doing tie dye so I am very excited because I always saw DIY tie dye

t-shirt but did not really have the time to do it. The steps are tie,dye and dry the cloth. The outcome is not what I expected since my cloth was partially dye instead of fully, but the process is fun. After the workshop, we moved to level 1 for our sewing class. This is my first time operating a sewing machine so I am very excited. I have never thought that setting up a sewing machine could be so hard and complicated until I try to set it up myself. Although is hard, I truly enjoy the process. During the process, we experience many challenges like we are unable to wind up the thread. Since this is my first time sewing using the machine, I obviously screw up but with a little more practice I am able to successfully stitch in a straight line. We also have a little incident happen during the workshop is that we broke a needle 😳.

From 3pm to 4pm, we have a talk on our upcoming trip to UK. We will be visiting the campus of Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. This is a great opportunity for us to explore and learn new things. Besides visiting the campus, we will also go to London to visit tourist sites and art museum. The price of the trip is RM6600 inclusive of air ticket and accommodation. The price is actually pretty reasonable since 1 round trip ticket usually cost this much, but I will try my best to persuade my parents.
