Today class, we were introduced to Context. It is shown that context is really important because with different context the message sent would be different. To prove the point, we were asked to do an activity. The activity is to come up as many object as you can when looking at the red dot with lines.

Items I have created from a red dot and a line.

I draw 30++ items using a red dot and a line. From this activity, it is shown that the main object is the line and the red dot but with different context the red dot could appear differently. Thus, proving the point that Context is what shape the original idea to tell and send a message across.

After the activity, we watched a video You are fluent in this language (and don't even know it) by Christoph Niemann. This talk is about the visual communication and the ability of people to read and understand images. It shows that, an image or visual could send across a message or evoke emotions. Thus, image play an important role in our everyday life and changing perspective of a subject could lead to new ideas and findings.
