This week is our deadline for our Project 1. This project require to screen print our design onto a bag, t-shirt or shoe. I have chosen a tote bag for my design. So last week, I have did my screen printing. It was intense, I took up almost the whole day to finish it, since I have use more than 1 color for this design.
This is the full process for my screen printing. As you can see, along the way I made some mistakes. The green color I printed on its to dark. To cover it up, I paint a lighter green on it. Besides, for some parts the paint leaked out and i have to touch it up with the paint brush. I also accidentally drop paint on my bag and i later clean it up with white paint which was clearly visible. Some parts of my design the lines is to thin so it is blocked by the red chemical so I am unable to make the lines, so I need to hand paint it. Since this is first time, I made many mistakes for my screen printing but I am happy that I have finally finish this project.
For this week class, we have our third Photoshop workshop. This time we learned how to create a GIF. I am excited to make my own GIF since I always send GIF to my friends to represent how I feel. The first step is to choose a part of the video that you want to make the GIF. For this class we have chosen a coffee. ( TIPS!!! Play the video every time you cut so you know which part you want). After that, you have to duplicate it, so it will look like its replaying. Third, you need to copy the picture and put it in the front to give it an illusion that it is stagnant and later rub off the parts where you want it to move. I think this is a few key steps for the GIF making for more deeper understanding I will need to re-watch the video.
After the workshop I seek advice from my lecturer for my assignment 2. I have not started the assignment but I will do it as fast as possible.
After that, we have our presentation for our Project 1. I am actually thought is going to be a normal presentation but I started getting nervous seeing Miss Ting walked in and started panicking😲😲😲😲😲 since I have not prepare a speech for my presentation. ( Life lesson: ALWAYS BE PREPARE) But, I still managed to come up with something to say during the presentation but I forget to print out some of my research and experiment on paper and is all on my phone and laptop. Ms Ting have give us all some advice saying that we should improve our development and creative process, and I will take her advice and look into it.
