🌸Reflection (reading activity)

Based on the reading that I did on "What it is Graphic Design?" by Timothy Samora I find that some of the things mention in the article is really true. For example, he stated that graphic design and advertising share one particular goal. I agree with him because I feel like graphic design is a form of communication and a way to send across a message. Secondly, based on this I also think that graphic design is not as easy as everyone think it is. For example, it is stated that designing is a discipline that integrates enormous amount of knowledge and skills. Thirdly, I agree that a design must connect with their audience because if there is no interaction the message could not be send across. Thus, a designer is responsible for the intellectual and emotional vitality of the audience experience. All in all, this article actually give an in dept look on What is Graphic Design and it could further develop our understanding on graphic design and not just the surface.

While for this article, it is said that design is a social activity because designers rarely work alone, so I think that even though is design we should also need to learn how to communicate well because is part of the job. Secondly, the sentence that say that design is visible everywhere, yet it is also invisible is really true if you think about it, so I think we should take time to look to observe the littile things around us.
