This is week is our sem break!! During the holidays, I started designing each of my character for my animation. Here is a few of the icons and character I have created in Adobe Illustrator.

Some of the elements/icons I have done for my animation

Since my animation is a story about my mom childhood so the era is from the 70s to 80s. I have found some inspirations from pinterest in terms of the fashion and colour palete.

Colors that are widely use during 70s

Referencing the hairstyles of the 70s

Besides, I have also found out some of the old rotiman vehicles. It is a little different compared to the ones we saw nowadays.

Basically, this week I just did a brief research for my animations, and started to draw my animation since we have to show 5 seconds of our animation by next week.

Moreover, my group and I have to get ready for our presentation on Swiss Design next week.

Once our lecturer have posted the questions, we started to distribute our work. I have been given the task of doing research on the principles of Swiss Design.

After doing my research, I simplified the principles into 3 main principles that I think could be found in most of the swiss design.

1. Clarity

Which is a principle about how swiss design usually uses grid lines to create neat layouts

2. Readability

This principle is mainly focus on fonts and how the arrangement of it so that it is easy or clear to read.

3. Simplicity

This principle could be seen used widely during the minimalism art movement. This principle emphasizes on the objective, and tends to stray away from ornaments.
