Me: Sir, I feel uninspired✨ … (week 7)

Writer's picture: TengTeng

As much as I would not like to admit but sometimes I would still get stuck and unsure of how I could execute and continue my projects. After doing a tutorial with Mr Kevin, he recommended me to just sit down and do a mind map but do not think whether it makes sense or not as we are just wanting to come up and brainstorm as much as possible as it may sometimes work to help get your brain working.

Progress:

  1. The mindmaps

  • As my concept is regarding media, I sit down and take my time to expand the idea to several topics such as pop culture, the influence of media, characters, symbolism etc…

  1. Asking myself questions

  • In my previous tutorial, Mr Kevin reminded me to be aware of how my information pieces are able to communicate my data and make sure it utilised a few different ways of execution.

  • Therefore, I list down a bunch of questions to ask myself everytime I come up with an idea to make sure my invision information piece meets the requirements and guidelines.

  1. Possible executions

  • After a week of serious brainstorming, I came up with several ideas on the topic of “media”

Conclusion

After brainstorming for ideas and executions, I started to filter out ideas that I am interested in and I believe that is more relevant. From this I learned that it’s ok to be stuck sometimes and it's part of the design process.
