On last Friday (19/04) me and my friend went out for a 1 day to KL for our research. Taking advantage of the opportunity I did my tangible and intangible map. I have decide to focus on people who wear earphones for my tangible map. This is because I feel like young adult this days including myself like to use earphone in public. My personal reason is because I love to immersed myself in music and to avoid any social interaction with strangers (but I am not sure what are other people reasons). Since I am curious I decided to go out and record down how many people I could actually find wearing earphone.
During the process, I realised is really hard for me to record down all the information I needed for my map because people are always on the move, but in the end I tried my best to get as much information as I can. Besides, while brainstorming I think of several ways to draw my map, in the end I choose to use string to create my map. The main reason I choose string because I feel like string is really similar to earphone in several ways. Moreover, string could give a sense of direction to the map because when we look at the string our eyes will automatically follow the string towards the end.
From my opinion, if this is a real map I believed it could work because it is organized clearly and the string give it a sense of direction and easy for the viewer to follow the timeline. The information written is also clear for the viewer understanding. However, I feel like I could improve on the research part, I admit that I am just researching on the surface such as the earphone colours or type but there are so much more that I could do my research on. To illustrate, I could have did research on how does their appearance could affect what music they listen to? ,or what similarity each person wearing earphone have?

Malaysia is hot 24/7 and being under the sun for long hours are really difficult, so when I went for the 1day trip I am really half dead but once I am in an airconditioned room I feel like I am in heaven haha. This inspired me to do my intangible map on the feeling of Cool and Refreshing.
While doing my map, I am thinking about how am I supposed to visualize this feeling, and I remember that during the trip we tried air mata kuching at petalling street which is so refreshing and thirst quenching, so I decided to draw the map as a cold drink to symbolize the feeling of cool and refreshing.
One of my favourite part of my map is the feeling I written for each location. Reading it makes me remember how I felt at that location even I am not there anymore. However, I still feel like there could be more research on the feeling even though I wrote cool and refreshing there could have a reason behind it then makes me feel the feeling.

Conclusion
I believed this could help me improved and further develop my main brief map. It also make me understand the main brief clearer since I am still quite blur. After this, I learned that we should not just look on the surface of a situation because there could have a reason behind it which is more interesting.
