Reflection
Throughout the class the activity what we did was actually using the divergent convergent concept, which is shown in the picture below.

For example, first we were asked to think about random uses for the objects, but towards the end we need to choose which idea we are going for. Besides, the more we create it open up a wider triangle and the highest and lowest part is actually where the original idea is.
From this whole activity, I found out that not all ideas have to start with something logical, it could start with something really ridiculous. The idea could be refined further through the design process. For example, we did more sketches, we think about the materials, we think about the target audiences and many more, to come out with something more presentable. Secondly, I also figure out that we need to do research to back up our points. For example, we got questions that ask "If its make out of paper bag how is this waterproof?" . Although I couldn't call it a research but me and my group knows that there is paper bag that is actually waterproof because of the material uses. Thirdly, time management is important. My group and I barely could finish label and draw the final design because we took to much time to discuss and did not assign each of the members with something to do, hence we need to wait for one of them to finish for the others to continue.
I think we could use this method for our project since all of us is in the starting stage, so we could utilized the divergent method to open up more ideas for our project.
Class Activity
Today, we were seperated into groups for a class activity. The activity require us to make connections with an object that was given. We were given a paper bag for the object to brainstorm. At the start, we draw several ideas and ways to use a paper bag. For example, a table mat, a hat and many more.

After coming up with all the ideas we were asked to refine one of the idea to make a product that could increase the living quality and benefit the consumer. We end up choosing the shoe idea. Althought, at the start it looks like a foot mask but we slowly modified it into a product that could protect shoes.

The purpose of the product is to protect your shoe when u go outdoor and is more convenient for the customers when they went to places that requires people to take of their shoe. We drew the product from various point of view to let the audience visualize how to product would actually look. The concept is kinda of like a string tie bag but it is now use to secure the product.

At the end we come out with this prototype. We called our product the GULEGG and the slogan is Gulegg can protect. The name is kinda inspired by GUCCI haha because gucci is a really expensive and popular product, so people who uses Gucci would most likely purchase this to protect their shoe. Our target audience are lazy people, people who owns expensive shoe and places that are indoor. It is said to be fashionable while keeping your shoe clean because as you look at todays fashion the weirder the item is the more popular it is for example if you Google ugly shoes there are alot of searches pop up and most of the shoes are expensive.

What is Graphic Design, Design Process?
Besides, we were also asked to discuss about What is Graphic design and Design process.
My group and I wrote down what we think of Graphic Design, and to sum up we think that graphic design is a way of expressing opinion through visual to convey a message. Its role is to connect with other people to send a message across, so it is also a tool for advertising.
Moreover, we also described the design process through a diagram because we feel like this is how a design process look like. It starts with a lot of ideas and it slowly gradually become lesser towards the end through the process. Some of the main ingredient that is in the process are Brainstorming, Research, Experimentation, Making connections and Meeting objectives. All of this plays an important role in a design process, and it is what makes your project stands out from the others. To sum up, the richer your design process is, the more valuable your idea is.
