On this week class, we did a small activity which called city as characters. Basically, we are to described a city in words and use the characteristic of the place to form a character that matches the characteristics.
I have fun doing this activity. The place I describe is my school in Klang. I try to describe it to make it not so obvious, but some of the characteristic kind of give out the location haha. I also have fun drawing and visualizing my friend location.

From what she wrote, I picked up a few points such as modern, traditional, freedom, nature, very strong and unpredictable. I used this few points to transform it into the character.

The character I drew is a girl which is on an adventure to find her true self (freedom). She is dressed in modern sports attire such as crop top and shorts, and for accessories she likes item such as headband with feathers because it remind her of her roots (modern & traditional). She is also a very strong and independent lady, living in the woods because she likes nature and is trying to build a cabin for herself (strong and nature). The setting that the character lived in is really windy and breezy which could represent unpredictable. I also add a side character because one of the characteristics is the boys in that place are really romantic. The character is the guy hiding behind the tree doubting whether to help the character because she always reject his help. Besides, the character is also kind of inspired by Lara Croft.
From this activity, we learned that place doesn't necessary have to be in the form of map but could be represent as a character.
