Today, we have a caligraphy workshop, but instead of using brush, we make our own pen using recycleble items such as tin can to create something like a fountaion pen .

We follow a youtube video that was played during our class to make it. After making the pen, we hyave a choice to use whatever type of medium we want. I choose the chinese ink to write my calligraphy.
In this workshop, we also learned about hierachy. Using different font size or colours will give the words a different hierachy. For example, the word that we would like to emphasize will be larger or in bold. Besides, different hierachy will also make it not so rigid, since it could feel like it have a tone like how we speak.

By experimenting with different materials, I figured out that different ways of holding and pressure will give out different effects.
After figuring it out, we were asked to write some quotes using the materials we have.
